PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking system for a game machine permitting secure unlocking operation only for a specific game machine even if a data transmitter is not turned in a specific direction, and permitting easy opening of both first and second frames or opening of the second frame only. SOLUTION: In the locking system for the game machine, key data to be transmitted from an operator side device to a game machine side device is received (S110), and whether both front frame opening operation and glass frame opening operation should be permitted, or whether only the glass frame opening operation should be permitted or whether both front frame opening operation and glass frame opening operation should be prohibited is determined based on the received key data (S115 and S210). If both operations are permitted, both first and second solenoids are excited (S125 and S130). If only the glass frame opening operation is permitted, only the second solenoid is excited (S130).
