<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building control device and a building control method capable of easily estimating the remodeling times of buildings by storing secular information on the buildings without visiting the sites of the buildings. <P>SOLUTION: The information on the buildings is collected from a plurality of buildings, the initial information and the secular information on the buildings are acquired from radio chips 100 disposed on a system building A for determining a remodeling time by using a reader/writer device R/W 110 (A), and the acquired information is transmitted from the reader/writer device 110 (A) to an information processing device 120 owned by the administrator of the building. The information processing device 120 owned by the administrator comprises at least an interface part 121 with the reader/writer device, a calculation processing part 122, and a database 123. The information acquired through the interface part 121 is stored in the database 123 after being processed by the calculation processing part 122 as necessary.
