PURPOSE:To set a stepping motor at an initial position by installing a stopper member mechanically regulating the displacement of a member to be driven, supplying driving pulses even after the member to be driven is positioned at the initial location and stopping the supply of driving pulses when a first excitation pattern is obtained. CONSTITUTION:A stopper member 25 mechanically regulating the displacement of a member to be driven 7 is mounted, driving pulses for reverse rotation are fed even after the member 7 is located at an initial position by the member 25, and supply pulses are stopped when an excitation pattern is brought to a first pattern. Accordingly, an initial-position sensor is unnecessitated, and a stepping motor can be set at the initial position with high reliability not affected by even step out and the mistake of the counting of driving pulses. |
