A terminal adapter for an electronic package having a stub terminal is provided. The adapter includes an adapter housing configured to be fitted ov er the electronic package and enclosing the terminal of the electronic package, a terminal receptacle formed in the housing, and at least one screw terminal assembly fitted within said terminal receptacle and locked thereto with deflectable mounting legs.
