PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chewing gum with fluffy new palate feeling by heating and mixing sweetener (including saccharides) with a thickener and water followed by admixing spices, adding heated and melting gum base to the product and subjecting the product to aeration (air mixture) followed by cooling, and to provide a method for producing the chewing gum. SOLUTION: This method for producing the chewing gum comprises processes of (1) heating and mixing sweetener with a thickener and water followed by admixing spices, (2) adding heated and melting gum base to the heated mixture followed by giving aeration by stirring and mixing and (3) cooling the stirred mixture.
