PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel capable of transmitting high torque, stable in detection accuracy of a rotating speed sensor, and easily changing its specification. SOLUTION: This flywheel 1 comprises an inertia mass portion 2 and a drive plate 3. The inertia mass portion 2 has sufficient mass to relieve sudden fluctuation of a rotating speed of an engine, and is fixed to an end portion 101a of a crank shaft 101 of the engine. Further the inertia mass portion 2 has a frictional face 2b on a side opposite to the crank shaft 101. The drive plate 3 is provided with a pulse hole 5 and a gear portion 6 on its outer peripheral portion, and an inner peripheral edge portion 3b is fixed to a position near a rotating axis K of the inertia mass portion 2. The pulse hole 5 is formed for a speed sensor 50 detecting the rotating speed. The gear portion 6 meshes with a pinion gear of a starter motor in starting the engine. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
