PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault tolerant computer system where two systems can operate in synchronization with each other. SOLUTION: The fault tolerant computer system comprises a primary system and a secondary system. The primary system comprises a first CPU 2A, a first FT control part 10A connected to the first CPU, and a first south bridge 6A electrically and operatively connected to the first FT control part. The secondary system comprises a second CPU 2B, a second FT control part 10B connected to the second CPU, and a second south bridge 6B not operatively but electrically connected to the second FT control part. The first FT control part and the second FT control part are connected to each other by a link 8.
