PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a wound-type solid electrolytic capacitor which is improved in electric properties through a process of forming an electrolytic polymerization conductive high-molecular film of high density and uniformity inside an element, in a wound-type solid electrolytic capacitor which is equipped with a solid electrolyte layer formed of polypyrrole or its derivative through electrolytic polymerization on another solid electrolyte layer formed of polythiophene or its derivative. SOLUTION: In an electrolytic polymerization process, a procedure of carrying out electrolytic polymerization is performed once or repeated twice or more after the element is kept impregnated with a polymerizing electrolyte equal or higher in concentration to or than the other polymerizing electrolyte provided outside the element. Or, a polymerizing electrolyte equal or higher in concentration to or than the other polymerizing electrolyte provided outside the element is injected continuously or intermittently into the element for carrying out electrolytic polymerization.
