<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medical equipment, particularly, separation/excision equipment for giving a patient treatment. <P>SOLUTION: Energy 158 is propagated through the target tissue 148 of the patient 146, which is positioned between a needle 22 and a separating loop 34, so that the target tissue can be destroyed. Preferably, the injection needle 22 and the separating loop 34 are equipped with mutually reverse polarities during the separation of a proliferated region 148. Preferably, the polarity of the needle 22 and that of the separating loop 34 are changed with time. During separation, the sound adjacent tissue 156 of an inner layer 150 is not substantially damaged, because energy transfer is concentrated on a section between the needle 22 and the separating loop 34, where the sound adjacent tissue does not exist while the ailing tissue 148 is positioned.
