PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric gas pump capable of compressing a gas while using a piezoelectric vibrator. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric gas pump comprises a housing having a flat circular displacement chamber forming recessed part, an O-ring storage annular groove positioned concentrically with the displacement chamber forming recessed part, and a suction port and a discharge port communicating with the displacement chamber forming recessed part and the piezoelectric vibrator closely fitted onto an O-ring stored in the O-ring storage annular groove to form a variable displacement chamber in the clearance thereof from the displacement chamber forming recessed part and vibrating by the supply of an AC power thereinto. The gas is sucked from the suction port into the variable displacement chamber by the vibration of the piezoelectric vibrator and the sucked gas is discharged from the discharge port. The inner peripheral edge of the O-ring storage annular groove of the housing is crossed with the peripheral edge part of the displacement chamber forming recessed part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
