PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet type rodless cylinder having a cylinder tube with a sectioned non-circular outer shape, which can lessen a distortion and stress caused by inner pressure in practical use. SOLUTION: Two pistons 10 reciprocate in an inner tube 2b when pressurized air is alternately supplied into the inner tube 2b from a port 7 arranged on an end cap 5, and a slide body 20 can reciprocate at the outside of an outer tube 2a by this reciprocating motions. The outer tube 2a is permitted to be a thin wall so that inner pressure used for a cylinder operation simply acts on the inner tube 2b and does not directly act on the outer tube 2a with a flat outer peripheral shape. Wall thickness is not much increased in spite of a double tube structure of the outer tube, and therefore, the low and flat magnet type cylinder can be supplied without considerably heightening magnetic coupling force.
