PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device that can ensure cost reduction and substantially save a relatively large capacity of desired information. SOLUTION: The storage device 1 comprises a microcomputer part 2 and a storage part 3. The microcomputer part 2 has therein a USB communication processing part 2a, and the storage part 3 has therein a URL link destination information storage part 3a and an authentication processing ID storage part 3b. The URL link destination information storage part 3a stores URL link destination information I1, and the authentication processing ID storage part 3b stores ID information I2. The USB communication processing part 2a in the microcomputer part 2 is connected to the URL link destination information storage part 3a and authentication processing ID storage part 3b in the storage part 3 via a serial connection line 8 having a two-wire serial communication function. The storage device 1 is designed for a user of a client PC 10, and the client PC 10 can be connected to a server 20 storing a large amount of information via a network 19.
