<p>The component includes a space for locating at least a part of and preferably at least most of the displacement mechanism (4) for moving a tool, preferably the entire motor. The component is a profile (6) and the motor is a linear electromagnetic one, preferably a servo motor. A row of e.g. permanent magnets forms a stator and these are located in the same space as the motor. An independent claim is also included for a method for the controlled movement of a tool, preferably a water jet cutter (2), using the robot (1), in which at least part of the displacement mechanism is moved through the space for locating the latter and guided by a means provided in this space, preferably guide wheels.</p> |
