<p>A needle hub (9) for attachment to a barrel (2) of a syringe (1) is adapted to carry a needle (10) and comprises guide means (13) for facilitating attachment of the needle hub to the barrel (2) of the syringe (1), and engagement means (16) for engaging a plunger of the syringe so that the needle can be retracted into the barrel (2) of the syringe (1) following use. The engagement means (16) are adapted to be contained within the guide means (13) so that they do not protude therefrom.</p> |
