PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of rotating and driving a disc by bringing a rotary driving roller into contact with a face of a driven disc, generating stable friction force always for rotary movement without causing stick slip, and controlling magnitude of friction force easily, and driving a disc face having a simple structure by friction. SOLUTION: In this driving device for rotating and driving the disc by bringing the rotary driving roller into contact with the face of the driven disc, a line 5 for connecting the center of rotation of the driven disc 1 with the center of width of the rotary driving roller 2 and an axial line of the rotary driving roller have predetermined angles to rotate and drive the disc by giving arbitrary resistance to rotary movement by friction force.
