<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a large quantity of rejects due to misregistration from being produced during starting a printing operation with a variability of the conveyance rate of the sheet materials, without lowering the printing rate and dry an aqueous ink applied to the sheet materials rapidly and properly under a simple construction, in a gravure printing machine using the aqueous ink. <P>SOLUTION: The drying device comprises the following means: a dryer into which the sheeting printed by applying the aqueous ink in the printing part of the gravure printing machine; a hot blast supply means which supplies a hot blast for drying the aqueous ink applied to the sheet materials, into the dryer; a tension detecting means 33 which detects the tension of the sheet materials conveyed into the dryer; and a temperature control means 38 which controls the temperature of the sheet materials based on the tension of the sheet materials detected by the tension detecting means 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
