LIGHT SOURCE, EXPOSING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMATION DEVICE USING IT, AND LIGHT ENTERING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source having large emitted light intensity, in a light source composed by combining a light emitting element with a waveguide.

SOLUTION: This light source is provided with: the light emitting element 7 having at least a luminescent layer 4 emitting light by electric energy; and the waveguide 1 for entering light emitted from the light emitting element 7 from a light entering surface 8 formed on a side surface to emit it into air from a light extraction surface 9 formed on an end surface. The light source is so structured as to suppress Fresnel reflection between the light emitting element 7 and the waveguide 1.
