The stent has annular units in the stents axial direction, each with collapsed annular portions (2) whose adjacent portions are joined to each other via a joint. The annular portions locate one of each adjacent portions pair on the proximal end side in the direction of the stent. The end portions of each unit project zigzag into the adjacent unit. The joints in each annular unit are substantially parallel to the stent axis. An independent claim is also included for a living organ dilator.
