A fluid inlet into a processing chamber, e.g. into a process column, has an entry port (2) for the single or multi phase fluid and leading into a collecting chamber (3). The flow is directed between upper and lower plates (5, 6) between which are positioned curved plates which direct the flow outwards in curved tracks. The heavier constituents are separated form the lighter ones by centrifugal force. The curved plates are located into the support plates by various interlocking means and are secured by welding.
