PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus, and a portable telephone device capable of substantially reducing an installation area of an operation part without impairing a display function of a liquid crystal display part or operability of the operation part, and capable of substantially miniaturizing the apparatus. SOLUTION: A holder 23 is provided in a lower area of the liquid crystal display part 2, and by providing one part of the operation part 3 on the holder 23, one part of the liquid crystal display part 2 and the one part of the operation part 3 are provided in an overlapping state. By forming shapes of operation buttons other than operation buttons provided on the holder 23 such that cross sections of portions protruding on a casing 1 are substantially triangular shapes, a finger operating the operation buttons contacts portions equivalent to vertexes of triangles, or in a sense, a line, and installation intervals of the operation buttons are shortened while preventing wrong operation and maintaining operability. By this, a portable telephone can be substantially miniaturized for a portion of overlapping, and a portion of shortening the installation intervals of the operation buttons.
