<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable storage device having a highly convenient function of protecting data. <P>SOLUTION: The storage device is carried by a user and exchanges data with information processors. The device comprises: a distance detecting part for detecting whether the storage device is separated from the first information processor, which performs access to the storage device, by not less than a predetermined setting distance; an access prohibition processing part for performing an access prohibition processing to prohibit the access of data which is recorded in the storage device; and an access processing part for allowing the data to be accessed when the access prohibition processing is not performed and not to be accessed when the access prohibition processing is performed when a data access request from the second information processor is received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
