PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support system and program that allow a reduction in the time to design a product for which a design surface is designed prior to structure design and to provide a recording medium for the program. SOLUTION: The design support system includes an outer body face overall shape input part 21 for inputting an overall outer body face 11 designed during the process of designing the outer body face; a structure design standard information storage part 22 for storing the structure design reference information needed to make structure design during a structure design process, e.g., information on the shape of a gasoline supply gun; an arrangement-enabling requirement determining part 23 for determining the requirements for enabling arrangement of part of the overall outer body face shape 11, e.g., a gasoline filler cap 3, on the basis of the structure design reference information; and an arrangement-enabling requirement output part 24 for outputting the arrangement-enabling requirements determined.
