The belt grinding machine (100) is combined with an attachment (200), e.g. for grinding tube ends. Rollers of several different diameters are available, so that the endless grinding belt can be laid out selectively as required. There is a band tension adjustment device which is optimized mechanically independently of the diameter of the contact roller.
