PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe ophthalmic composition compounded with lysozyme and vitamin A. SOLUTION: The ophthalmic composition with a pH of 5-6.5 comprises (A) lysozyme and/or a salt thereof, (B) a vitamin A selected from vitamin A and/or a derivative thereof, (C) chlorobutanol, (D) a buffering agent selected from boric acid and/or borax and (D) an antioxidant.
