DATA TRANSFER METHOD AND SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a failure by transferring data using another network (LAN) when data transfer fails due to trouble or the like in transferring data stored in a storage part of a computer system via a network (SAN). SOLUTION: The computer system for transferring data from a first storage part to a second storage part via the network is provided with: a first control part for executing a process for transferring data stored in the first storage part to the second storage part by using a block transfer protocol; a table for managing a file comprising a plurality of blocks of data and a block of data constituting the file by relating them to each other; and a second control part for receiving information for identifying a block from the first control part to identify a file corresponding to the block by using the table and for transferring the identified file to the second storage part by using the file transfer protocol.
