PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an imaging apparatus even at a high temperature to provide an image with less image quality deterioration. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus whose imaging sensitivity is varied limits a range of variable imaging sensitivity when a temperature in the vicinity of an imaging element 15 fixed at a position measured by a temperature sensor 127 is greater than a prescribed temperature. Further, in the case of imaging sensitivity bracket photographing wherein the imaging sensitivity is stepwise changed and photographing is carried out for a plurality of number of times through a single release operation, when the usable imaging sensitivity is limited under an environment at a high temperature and a set bracket width cannot be ensured, the imaging apparatus shifts a bracket reference center value.
