PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for carrying out excellent color calibration while maintaining the productivity.

SOLUTION: A printer 10 is the image forming apparatus for continuously printing a plurality of images, and includes: an actual measurement calibration means for carrying out color calibration processing on the basis of a test image printed on recording paper; a prediction calibration means for carrying out color calibration processing on the basis of a predetermined reference value; and a control means for allowing the actual measurement calibration means or the prediction calibration means to carry out the color calibration processing. The control means allows the actual measurement calibration means to carry out the color calibration processing when existing recording paper is used or allows the prediction calibration means to carry out the color calibration processing when other recording paper is used in the case that a plurality of the images are printed on a plurality of recording paper sheets.
