PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game medium counting display device which is a device to collect sales tax in the case of prize exchange and is constituted inexpensively by using an existing counting display device. SOLUTION: The game medium counting display device includes: a counting sensor (5) for detecting the number of the game media and outputting detection signals corresponding to the number of the game media; and a counting part (7) for counting the detection signals to be inputted from the counting sensor (5) and displaying the number of detection of the game media. In the game medium counting display device, a counting pulse generator part (6) is connected to the signal line (L1) of the detection signals between the counting sensor (5) and the counting part (7), the counting pulse generator part (6) counting the number of tax-excluded game media which are obtained by subtracting the number of the game medium corresponding to indirect tax from the total number of the game media, and counting an indirect tax correspondence number corresponding to the indirect tax by counting the detection signals, and display means (9, 3b) are also arranged by which the number of the tax-excluded game media and the indirect tax correspondence number are respectively displayed.
