METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OPTICAL WIRING SYSTEM, AND OPTICAL WIRING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form an optical waveguide of an optical waveguide layer having a reflecting surface of high optical coupling efficiency.

SOLUTION: The optical waveguide of the optical waveguide layer 3 having the reflecting surface of high optical coupling efficiency by metallic reflection in place of total reflection can easily be formed by forming the reflecting mirror of a metallic thin film 7 for an end face 5 of the optical waveguide 3. Moreover, by forming the reflecting mirror of the metallic thin film 7 for the end face 5 of the optical waveguide 3, the reflecting mirror becomes resistant to reduction of the reflectance due to dew condensation and dust in air onto the end face 5 of the optical waveguide layer 3.
