<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of restricting printing locations. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 30 produces a public key being dependant on print location information at this time, and transmits the public key to a print client 20. The print client 20 codes a common key by using the public key, and transmits the coded common key to a printer 30. The print client 20 also codes print data by using the common key, and transmits the coded print data to the printer 30.
