摘要 The exhaust gas purification system consists of a catalyzer (4) in the exhaust circuit (2) from an IC engine (1) in a vehicle with a hybrid IC engine/electric motor power unit. The efficiency of the catalyzer is restored by means of a temperature booster (5) which is operated when the IC engine is cut out and the vehicle drive power is supplied by the electric motor (32). The electric motor is normally used when the vehicle power requirement is low, but when the catalyzer temperature needs boosting the electric drive is extended towards a higher power requirement until the necessary catalyzer temperature is reached, IC when its accumulated NOx has been reduced or particulates trapped in a filter have been oxidized.
