PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function for determining the existence of suction error or deficiency of a component or an article and to allow vacuum suction conveyance even when deficiency occurs in the sucked component or article, in a vacuum suction conveying system. SOLUTION: The position detecting switch 35 built in a vacuum suction unit section 26 has the function for determining the state of the suction error or deficiency of the component or the article. By installing a direction selector valve (solenoid valve), the vacuum suction conveyance is allowed even when the deficiency occurs in the component or the article 33. The conveying form of the component or the article 33 can be freely set by program setting by a computer.
