PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a field angle of a camera by adjusting the field angle by comparing a still image which is a display image of a monitor placed in a desired position and a still image taken from the camera by a remote camera control system. SOLUTION: When an operator performs field angle operations of the camera 1 from the remote control device 4, a control signal is transmitted through a transmission path 7 and by way of an image processing and controlling device 5 to a turntable 2 and angle field control of the camera 1 starts. When the operations are terminated in a desired position, an image capturing device 6 captures an image from the camera 1 as a still image and transmits it to the image processing and controlling device 5. The image processing and controlling device 5 captures the input image of the camera 1 as a still image and compares it with the received still image. If the two images do not match with each other, the turntable 2 is moved back in the reverse direction, for example, and the images are compared again. The same operations are repeated until the images substantially match with each other. While the above comparison/control process is performed, the monitor 3 indicates the still image taken by the image capturing device 6 and switches the still image to an image of the camera 1 after completion of the field angle adjustment.
