PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disease marker reflecting inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), to provide a method for detecting the IBD utilizing the disease marker, and to provide a method for screening a medicament useful for improving the disease. SOLUTION: This disease marker of the IBD comprises a polynucleotide having at least 15 bases continuing in a base sequence of IL-17 gene, IL-9 gene, Lymphotoxinαgene, IL-10 receptorβgene, DAP12 gene, TCR Vγ4 gene, Integrinβ1 gene, CDw40 gene, or Paired-Ig-like receptor A1 gene and/or a polynucleotide complementary to the polynucleotide.
