PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structural material for cultivating plants such as an agricultural or a horticultural house or tunnel, capable of effectively preventing soiling caused by dust, soot, oil mist, pollen, etc., and also the soiling caused by the proliferation of mold and moss, and thus effectively preventing the decrease of light-transmitting property. SOLUTION: This structural material for cultivating the plants is constituted by a frame and a covering material forming the outer shape of the structural material. The covering material has a base material consisting of a plastic film, a first layer consisting of substantially only first inorganic fine particles and forming one of the surfaces of the covering material which is the outer surface of the structural material, and a second layer containing second inorganic fine particles and arranged between the base material and the first layer.
