ELECTRIC DISCHARGE TREATMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized electric discharge treatment apparatus enabling a textile structure to be uniformly and continuously treated in a high speed at 20 m/min or higher. SOLUTION: The electric discharge treatment apparatus has the following construction and mechanism: A solid dielectric is set at the opposite side of at least one of a pair of counter electrodes and the textile structure is placed in between the counter electrode and the solid dielectric or in between the two solid dielectrics. The textile structure is subjected to electric discharge treatment by applying a pulse electric field between the counter electrodes in an atmosphere close to the atmospheric pressure. In this apparatus, the pair of counter electrodes has a parallel and flat plate-like electrode structure and there is equipped a means covering at least one of the flat plate electrodes and functioning to make the textile structure travel in a plurality of turns.
