The fire alarm comprises a sensor base (11), a pointer (12) mounted at the base and a controller built inside the base. The pointer is fixed to the base via a ball shaped coupling (122) so that it's position is adjustable. The pointer includes a laser light diode in a housing (121) at the tip of the pointer. The pointer (12) is connected to the controller via a conductor. The pointer fits to the sensor base (11) via a ring shaped adapter (111) with a curved inner surface so that the ball coupling (122) rotates and rolls against the inner surface of the adapter.
