PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rapidly and readily producing a nonwoven fabric for secondary backing using a nonwoven fabric having a definite width which is spreadable to an arbitrary width which can be widened by≤1.5 times as a raw material, having good appearance and scarcely having unevenness of thickness, compared with conventional needling nonwoven fabrics and free from fuzz and excellent in wear resistance, compared with stream punch nonwoven fabrics without joining the width. SOLUTION: A bonding type parallel nonwoven fabric obtained by bonding contact parts of fibers constituting parallel web made of a short fiber with a binder is stretched in the width direction.
