To treat angiostenosis, it has been a common practice to employ angioplasty (PTA or PTCA) of blowing a small-sized balloon in a vessel. In such a case, however, repeated stenosis (restenosis) frequently arises after the treatmen t. To relieve restenosis, it is efficacious to place a stent in the vessel. However, restenosis sometimes arises even in this case. A stent containing a biologically non-degradable material which has a lactic acid-glycolic acid copolymer optionally together with an immunosuppressive agent on at least a part of the stent surface.
