PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a domed screen device whose nearly hemispherical projection surface is always kept in specified shape and on which a clear image is projected to be viewed by many persons at a time. SOLUTION: The screen device is provided with a nearly hemispherical inside coating film 5 whose inner surface the image is projected to, a nearly hemispherical outside coating film 6 with which the coating film 5 is covered while leaving a specified gap in between, and a suction device 4 regularly sucking gas in a nearly hemispherical air chamber 9 formed between the coating films 5 and 6 so that pressure in the air chamber 9 is made lower than pressure on the outside.
