PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system and a digital camera capable of protecting image information obtained by photographing without damaging convenience. SOLUTION: By a radio tag held by a user, authentication information for authenticating a holder is transmitted as radio signals. By the digital camera 10, the radio signals are received through a reception circuit 60 and an antenna 62. By a CPU 40, control for limiting access to an image file stored in a memory card 52 by photographing is executed corresponding to the authentication information indicated by the received radio signals.
