An apparatus for mounting dies on a bed (10) of a press is described which comprises a support plate (14) removably mountable in a predetermined position on the bed (10) of the press, a plurality of holes (16) formed in the support plate (14), and securing means (28) receivable within the holes (16) in the support plate (14) for securing the dies (22) to a front face (18) of the support plate (14) and for maintaining the dies (22) in position on the support plate (14) when the support plate (14) is removed from the bed (10) of the press. In the invention, the holes (16) in the support plate (14) have at least one undercut, and each of the securing means comprises a clip (28) having a leg (38) received in one of the holes (16) in the support plate (14), the leg 938) having at least one flange (40) which engages behind the undercut to prevent the leg (38 from being pulled out of the hole (16).
