In a pressure-sensitive sensor (1), insulation-coated lead-out wires (10, 11) are laid over each other to form a cable-like object. In a head portion (S), a lead-out wire (11) is connected to a center electrode (2) and a lead-out wire (10) is connected to an outer electrode (4). For example, when the pressure-sensitive sensor (1) is connected to an external circuit (12) and a third resistive body (15) is connected between the lead-out wire (10) and the lead-out wire (11), a circuit that is equivalent to that detecting wire breaking/short circuit by a conventional pressure-sensitive sensor is formed. This enables wire breaking and short circuit of each electrode to be detected, the structure of the head portion to be simpler, a non-sensitive region to be reduced, and detection capability to be enhanced.
