PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a conventional coupling member has a shallow undercut, needs to be sloped, and causes a witness line. SOLUTION: A coupling member (110) for use in an ostomy, incontinence or wound medical care device comprises an annular body having a circumferentially continuous wall (112) with an undercut structure (130), wherein the undercut structure (130) comprises a plurality of undercut arcuate sections (130) alternating with spaces. A plurality of the undercut arcuate sections (130) each has a radially extending surface (132) which subtends an angle to the axis of the annular body sufficient to give a required degree of security to the coupling member (110) in respect of its attachment to a counterpart press fit coupling member (160).
