PURPOSE: A method of producing rice containing herbal components of banhabaekchulcheonmatang described in the book of Eastern Medicare by soaking rice in banhabaekchulcheonmatang and then drying is provided. The product is effective in treating hypertension and complications associated with hypertension. CONSTITUTION: For an example, the herbal mixture containing 60g of Rhizoma Pinelliae, 60g of Atractylodis Rhizoma Alba, 60g of Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, 60g of Hoelen, 20g of Gastrodiae Rhizoma, 40g of Zingiberis Rhizoma, 40g of sinmyeon, 20g of Astragali Radix, 20g of Ginseng Radix, 20g of Alismatis Rhizoma, 20g of Fructus Hordei germinatus, 20g of Phellodendri Cortex and 20g of Zingiberis Rhizoma is mixed with 5L of water and extracted at 100deg.C for 3hr. Then, 800g of rice is soaked in 320g of the extract and dried with hot air at 60deg.C.
