PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display device to which a screen centering function can be added while maintaining the cost as it is without increasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: When display data of the resolution smaller than the display resolution of a liquid crystal panel 17 is inputted from the outside to a timing controller 14 for outputting display data DATA 11, a driving clock CLKH 10 for a source driver IC , a vertical synchronizing signal STV 6, a horizontal synchronizing signal STH 8, a latch pulse LP 9, a scanning line enable signal OFFEV 12, a driving clock CLKV 7 for a gate driver IC, etc., to the gate driver IC 16 and the source driver IC 15 by receiving an input signal from the outside, the output timing of the vertical synchronizing signal STV 6 and the horizontal synchronizing signal STH 8 is controlled, by which the display data is displayed in the central part of the liquid crystal panel and the good screen display is made obtainable.
