PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quadrupole fluorescent lamp having a favorable electric saving effect. SOLUTION: A four-electrode fluorescent lamp (FL) comprises four filaments A, B, C, D, each of the filament having two leads for being electrically connected to a positive and a negative electrodes of a power source, and a resistor Rs serially and electrically connected between a lead of one filament selected from the two filaments, and a lead of another filament selected from the other two filaments.
