PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large area ceramic insulation type thin film element by enhancing mechanical strength of a ceramic sheet without increasing the thickness of the ferroelectric ceramic sheet of an electroluminescent functional part, by pasting the electroluminescent functional part having the same structure as a ceramic insulation type thin film EL element onto optional substrates such as various ceramic sheets, metallic sheets and the like. SOLUTION: Various phosphor thin films 2 are formed as a luminescent layer on the surface of the feroelectric ceramic sheet 3 serving as a material for a substrate and an insulating layer by well-known film depositing technology, and an electroluminescent element part manufactured by forming an electrode is then pasted on the substrate 5 made of any optional material such as a metal, various kinds of plastic, and the like.
