PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross talk detecting method etc. for enhancing detection accuracy of cross talk and performing product management. SOLUTION: This method is characterized by comprising: a process for a processor 1 to calculate a difference between the luminance of an image plane having a solid pattern displayed in a certain tone all over a display panel 10 and the luminance of an image plane having a black-less pattern where a domain with its background displayed in a certain tone and a certain domain on the image plane displayed with a tone difference not smaller than a definite value; a process for determining, based on the calculated difference, difference values with respect to a certain domain, background display domains existing above and below the certain domain and on its left and right extensions, and background display domains other than the display domains existing above and below the certain domain and on its left and right extensions; and a process for detecting, based on the determined difference values, deviations from ideals on the display domains existing above and below the certain domain and on its left and right extensions.
