PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adhesion of toner to a discharging sheet carry roller at a low cost and to prevent lowering of image quality. SOLUTION: Among a drive roller 35 and driven rollers 36 and 37 constituting a pair of sheet discharge carry rollers of a thermal fixing unit 15 on the rear stage side in the sheet discharging direction, the driven roller 36 on the fixing section nip side employs an elastic member of rubber, or the like, as a basic material 36b and the outer circumferential surface thereof is covered with a resin 36a of high mold releasing properties. Consequently, the outer circumferential surface is smoothed and imparted with elasticity thus suppressing degradation of an image. The driven roller 37 on the sheet discharging side not requiring smoothness on the outer circumferential surface as compared with the driven roller 36 is made by molding of a resin material using a mold. PFA or PTFE is employed as fluororesin. Fluororesin coating may be used as the resin of high mold releasing properties. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
